You might be a candidate if your cancer has not spread to lymph nodes or distant organs and you meet the other health and surgery requirements.

Who can take part
- You are a man between 40 and 80 years old
- Your prostate cancer is localized, with no clear spread to lymph nodes or distant organs
- Your cancer stage is not T3 or higher (more advanced local growth may not qualify)
- Your prostate is 80 ml or smaller
- You have not had prior prostate cancer treatment or prior prostate surgery
- You do not currently have a urinary tract infection, bladder problems, or a urine-flow blockage (like urethral stricture)
