Who can take part
- You have leiomyosarcoma (a soft-tissue cancer) that is localized to the extremity, body wall, or retroperitoneum
- Your tumor is higher grade (grade 2 or 3 or considered high-grade)
- Your tumor measures more than 5 cm at its biggest point
- Your main tumor can be fully removed with surgery (complete resection is possible)
- You must be willing to receive chemotherapy before surgery (neoadjuvant doxorubicin + ifosfamide)
- Your doctors have tumor tissue from diagnosis or a pre-treatment biopsy available for research (such as a tissue sample or slides)
