Who can take part
- You are scheduled for a diagnostic or treatment catheter procedure through the wrist or elbow artery
- You can understand the study and sign informed consent
- You can take blood-thinning medicines (aspirin and/or clopidogrel or related drugs) and a blood thinner given through an IV (heparin or bivalirudin)
- There is no bleeding bruise (hematoma) or abnormal bulge in the wrist/elbow area that blocks access
- During a safety check, your medical team can compress the radial and cubital arteries and still keep enough blood flow (no problem from extra collateral pathways)
