New Wilms tumor treated with proton beam abdominal radiation

Who can take part

  • You are being diagnosed with Wilms tumor now, or are starting abdominal radiation after surgery.
  • Your tumor type must be favorable histology Wilms tumor (if the tumor looks “unfavorable,” you may not receive the study treatment).
  • Your treatment timing must fit: if you had upfront surgery, radiation should start soon (within about 4 weeks).
  • You should be able to do daily activities at least at a moderate level (performance score ≥50 depending on age).
  • You must not have had prior abdominal radiation for the current treatment field.
  • If you can become pregnant (age ~10+ or after first period), you must have a negative pregnancy test before joining.
