Who can take part

  • Be age 20 to 80 years old
  • Have pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma confirmed by biopsy or cell test
  • Have had surgery to remove the tumor completely or near-completely (R0 or R1), and at least 2 weeks have passed after surgery (up to 12 weeks)
  • No spread to distant organs (for example liver or peritoneum); no distant metastases
  • Be well enough for treatment: performance status (ECOG) 0 to 2 and life expectancy of at least 12 weeks
  • Plan to start gemcitabine alone as the after-surgery (post-op) chemotherapy
