  • You are at least 18 years old
  • Your calf clot symptoms started less than 10 days ago
  • Your clot is confirmed by leg ultrasound as a calf (distal) deep vein clot
  • You do not have a clot in the higher (proximal) leg veins
  • You are not pregnant or breast-feeding
  • You can give informed consent and are not in another trial now or in the last 30 days
