This Phase 1 study tests whether a special PET/CT scan drug ([18F]PT2385) can help doctors see kidney cancer and related tumors. It may help guide diagnosis and treatment decisions, especially in people planning surgery or starting belzutifan.

Who can take part
- You can read and sign consent, and you’re willing to do the scan (and biopsy if needed).
- You can lie still for about 30–60 minutes during the PET/CT scan.
- You fit one of these groups: (1) suspected renal cell carcinoma planned for surgery, or (2) metastatic kidney cancer or VHL syndrome where a biopsy is required, or (3) VHL syndrome with certain tumors planning to start belzutifan.
- If you are able to get pregnant: you must have a negative pregnancy test on the day of the scan and not be pregnant or nursing.
- You must not have severe claustrophobia or other reasons PET/CT scans are unsafe for you.
- You must be able to safely get a biopsy if you’re in the group that requires it, and you must meet scanner weight limits.
