This trial tests a special PET scan to see if it can better find leftover kidney cancer after surgery compared to a standard CT scan. You may qualify if you had kidney cancer surgery within the last 4-16 weeks and are at high risk of the cancer coming back.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 years or older.
  • You had surgery for clear cell kidney cancer (the most common type) within the last 4 to 16 weeks.
  • Your surgery removed all visible cancer, but you are at high risk of it returning.
  • You can lie still for about 30 minutes for the scan.
  • If you can become pregnant, you must have a negative pregnancy test and use two forms of birth control for at least 42 days after the scan.
