- You’re 18 years or older and can sign written consent to join
- You’re having a colonoscopy for a laterally spreading polyp in the colon or rectum
- The polyp looks “non-cancerous” on scope exam (adenoma-type pattern) and has specific size/location features
- The main flat part has a size between 15 and 40 mm (about 1.5 to 4 cm)
- If there is a raised/sessile part, it is 10 mm or smaller
- Your polyp is not in certain tricky spots (like the ileocecal valve or near the appendix opening)
