Who can take part
- You must be 18 years of age or older.
- You must be able to give your informed consent to participate.
- You must have at least one small polyp or growth (less than 10 millimeters) in your colon or rectum that was found during a colonoscopy.
- You must not have a bleeding disorder or be on blood-thinning medications that cannot be safely stopped before the procedure.
- You must not have chronic inflammatory bowel disease (like Crohn's or ulcerative colitis) and must not be pregnant or breastfeeding.
- The colonoscopy must not be done while you are an inpatient in the hospital or as part of the regional colorectal cancer screening program.
