  • You are scheduled for low-back decompression surgery called laminectomy on 1–2 levels
  • You are between 18 and 85 years old
  • Your surgery is not minimally invasive
  • You have not taken opioid pain medicine every day in the last 6 months
  • Your surgery does not include spinal fusion, revision, or procedures on the same level
