Liver transplant donor data registry for better organ preservation

Liver DiseasesLiver DysfunctionLiver Transplant DisorderLiver Transplant Rejection

Part of Digestive system clinical trials.

This study builds a global registry that tracks how donor livers are matched and preserved for transplant. It may help improve how doctors keep donor livers viable before surgery by learning from real-world cases.

Testing discarded livers with machine perfusion

This trial tests if a machine that pumps warm oxygenated blood through livers that were considered unsuitable for transplant can help doctors decide if they are actually safe to transplant. If so, it could increase the number of available livers for people waiting for a first liver transplant.

Creating a liver transplant biobank for children

This trial sets up a long-term collection of medical information and samples from children who have had a liver transplant. It helps doctors study outcomes over time and improve care for future patients.
