Who can take part

  • Be 18 years or older
  • Have hip or knee replacement surgery using a nerve block (regional or spinal)
  • Be able and willing to give informed consent
  • Be able to use the VR equipment comfortably (no eye/face/neck/arm injuries that block use)
  • Tell the team if you’ve had epilepsy, dementia, other nerve conditions, or strong motion/visual sensitivity
