Who can take part
- Your bladder cancer must be “high-risk,” such as T1, high grade, and/or CIS, or recurring multiple tumors larger than 3 cm
- Your MRI must show no enlarged lymph nodes (no spread to nearby nodes on scans)
- You will be planned for radical cystectomy (bladder removal) and your doctor must feel the surgery will benefit you
- You must meet basic lab and health requirements for major abdominal surgery (blood counts, liver tests, kidney function, and heart/lung fitness)
- You must be 18 to 75 years old, able to give written consent, and willing to follow study visits
- You must NOT have had prior bladder cancer–related surgeries of this type, immune-system diseases, chemo/immunotherapy, or other cancer drug treatments before enrollment
