Who can take part
- You’re age 18 or older
- You have a “simple” rib fracture involving at least 3 ribs in a row, with clear displacement (the bone ends are shifted)
- Your injury is suitable for either RibFix surgery or non-surgical care for pain and symptoms
- You can attend all required follow-up visits during the study
- You can understand the study and sign consent required by the ethics committee/IRB
- You do NOT have flail chest (a specific unstable chest type), and you’re not in situations that require long-term bed rest from other major injuries
