Who can take part

  • You are between 18 and 70 years old
  • Your body mass index (BMI) is above 24
  • You are a bariatric surgery patient at Beijing Friendship Hospital
  • You have high blood pressure treated with at least 2 blood pressure medicines for more than 4 weeks
  • You do not have certain heart problems in the last 6 months, like heart attack, heart failure, stroke, or recent heart procedures
  • Your high blood pressure is not due to another cause (except it may be linked to sleep apnea), and you can understand and follow the study steps
