  • You are 18 years or older
  • You had a thyroid fine-needle biopsy (a needle sample) showing an uncertain or cancer-suggesting result (Bethesda category III, IV, V, or VI)
  • You are able to have thyroid surgery as planned
  • You can understand the study and sign informed consent
  • You have not been diagnosed with thyroid cancer before
