Who can take part

  • You are an adult survivor of a first-time out-of-hospital cardiac arrest
  • You have been discharged from the hospital and can be assessed after discharge
  • You can understand and complete the study questionnaires in Danish
  • Your cardiac arrest was not a very short event—recovery was not expected to be under about 4 minutes
  • Before the arrest, you were working (labor force participation) for at least 2 years until you qualify for the state retirement pension
