Who can take part
- You must be 18 years or older.
- You have confirmed prostate cancer on pathology (biopsy or surgery tissue).
- Your prostate cancer is in a “localized” stage that fits low-, intermediate-, or selected high-risk, OR you have limited spread that can be safely treated with focused radiation.
- Your body function score must be ECOG 0 to 2 (generally meaning you’re able to do most daily activities).
- Your prostate gland size is 100 cc or less, and your bladder symptom score (IPSS) is under 18.
- You must be able to have MRI scans (no MRI contraindications), and you have NOT had pelvic radiation before.
- You can’t have had TURP in the last 6 months, and you can’t have certain bowel/immune conditions (ulcerative colitis, Crohn’s, ataxia telangiectasia, systemic lupus).
