Who can take part
- You have a proven (pathology-confirmed) cancer diagnosis.
- Your tumor is in the “ultra-central” area of the chest (very close to major airways/structures).
- You’ve had radiation to that area before, and the tumor is 5 cm or smaller.
- You do not have widespread uncontrolled metastases; if metastases are present, they must be controlled by prior treatment.
- Your general health is good enough for treatment (KPS over 70) and you have no serious or uncontrolled medical problems.
- You can do the radiation sessions—able to lie flat and follow instructions; expected survival is at least 3 months.
