TMS follow-up study for balance changes in Parkinson’s

Parkinson Disease

This study looks at how “high-frequency TMS” (a brain stimulation treatment) may change balance in people with Parkinson’s disease over a 6-month follow-up. You may be considered if you have mild to moderate Parkinson’s, have not had TMS before, and are medically stable.

Who can take part

  • You have been diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease that fits UK Parkinson’s Brain Bank criteria (idiopathic Parkinson’s).
  • Your Parkinson’s symptoms are mild to moderate based on clinician scoring and your stage of disease.
  • You’ve had Parkinson’s for about 2 to 5 years.
  • You are medically and psychologically stable, with adequate heart function.
  • You have never received any rTMS sessions before.
  • You can sign a consent form.
