Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You have cirrhosis (scarring of the liver) confirmed by scan, tissue test, and/or liver stiffness test
- You recently came to the emergency department or general hospital medicine floor
- You have advanced liver disease symptoms needing treatment, such as fluid in the belly, fluid around the lungs, or confusion from liver disease
- You are not in any major “do not enroll” group (for example: liver transplant history, on dialysis, or very high liver severity)
