Who can take part

  • Your baby was born at 32 weeks or earlier (estimated gestational age).
  • Your baby was enrolled within the first 7 days after birth.
  • Your baby must be 7 days old or younger at the start of the study.
  • Your baby must not be a ward of the state.
  • Your baby must not have a suspected or confirmed birth defect (congenital anomaly).
  • Your baby must not be in immediate danger of dying, based on the attending doctor’s judgment.
