Who can take part

  • You are under 50 years old when you join the study.
  • You have osteosarcoma confirmed by tissue biopsy (not just suspected).
  • Your lung spread looks like 1–4 nodules, each small enough to be removed (and at least one is at least 3 mm).
  • The lung nodules can be removed with either open chest surgery (thoracotomy) or keyhole surgery (thoracoscopic) as judged by the surgeon.
  • You have no spread outside the lungs (no extrapulmonary metastases), at least based on your workup before enrollment.
