Who can take part

  • You have small cell lung cancer confirmed by biopsy (sample removed with a needle or surgery).
  • Your cancer stage at diagnosis is extensive stage (for example, metastatic disease or very widespread chest disease).
  • You can provide a tumor tissue sample as instructed (timing depends on whether you’re before or after first-line treatment).
  • Your day-to-day function is good enough (ECOG 0–2, meaning you’re able to care for yourself and do light activities).
  • If you join before first treatment, your planned first treatment is chemo (etoposide + platinum) plus a PD-L1 medicine (atezolizumab or durvalumab).
  • You agree to consent and can share blood samples; palliative radiation is allowed if there’s measurable disease outside the radiation area.
