This study looks at why cancer can cause loss of muscle in people with advanced non–small cell lung cancer, and whether exercise can improve or explain those muscle changes. You may be asked to do physical testing and answer questionnaires while receiving standard palliative cancer treatment.

Who can take part

  • You are 18 or older
  • You have confirmed non–small cell lung cancer that is stage IIIb or IV
  • You start or are already planned for palliative cancer treatment (chemo, immunotherapy, or targeted pills)
  • Your physical ability is good enough: ECOG 0 to 2 (not mostly in bed)
  • You can do physical testing and understand Danish questionnaires/ratings
  • You can sign the informed consent form, and you had a recent scan or plan one soon
