Testing heart scan measurements in severe aortic valve narrowing

Who can take part

  • You have severe aortic valve stenosis and are a candidate for transcatheter valve replacement
  • Your heart pumping strength (left ventricular ejection fraction) is above 55%
  • You are older than 65
  • You have no known intolerance to adenosine (a medication used during testing)
  • Your heart rhythm history does not include slow heart rates (bradycardia) or heart wiring blocks (AV block)
  • Your moderate coronary artery narrowings have an FFR above 0.8 (your doctor’s test result)
