This study looks at how to place bone support for an upper back tooth replacement when part of the upper jaw bone is limited. If you’re missing one upper back tooth for at least 3 months, they may use a specific “bone window” approach guided by a 3D scan.

Who can take part
- You have one missing back upper (maxillary posterior) tooth for 3+ months
- Your gum/space measurement is at least 4 mm where the tooth is missing
- Your remaining upper-jaw bone is very low in height (≤ 5 mm) but wide enough (bone width ≥ 6 mm)
- You are generally healthy and can sign the consent form
- You have a clear, complete CBCT 3D X-ray scan with no scan problems that block measurements
