Who can take part
- You’re 18 years or older and can sign a consent form
- You had a type 1 heart attack, confirmed as a heart attack by standard medical criteria
- Your heart artery angiogram did not show major blockages (no ≥50% narrowing in the relevant artery)
- You don’t have an obvious (clear) reason for your symptoms from the evaluation
- A heart MRI shows scar/injury pattern (late gadolinium enhancement) that fits an ischemic cause
- You do not already have known atrial fibrillation/flutter, and you haven’t had ablation for it (for the implant-monitor group)
