Who can take part
- Be 40 years of age or older
- Have had a recent ischemic stroke or TIA (a “mini-stroke”) confirmed by CT or MRI
- Have been evaluated fully for the cause of the stroke
- Have a HAVOC score of 4 or higher, and you do not have another cause of stroke listed other than atrial fibrillation (AF)
- Do not have known or newly found AF during the hospital stay, and you must agree to participate (or your guardian must)
