Who can take part
- Be 18 years or older
- Have had an ischemic stroke (AIS) with symptoms starting 24–72 hours ago (or last known well in that window)
- Your brain scan shows a large artery blockage in the front part of the brain (from the internal carotid artery to the MCA main branches)
- Have a stroke severity score (NIHSS) of 6 or higher at the start of the study
- CT perfusion scan must show enough at-risk but not-yet-damaged brain tissue (core under 50 mL, mismatch ratio 1.8 or more, mismatch volume at least 15 mL)
- You (or your legally authorized proxy) can sign consent in writing
