Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You identify as Black (African American/African/Caribbean/West Indian, or multiracial with Black) and you can be Hispanic or non-Hispanic
- You have ongoing asthma that has stayed uncontrolled (for example, you were prescribed inhaled steroid medicine within the last 48 months and/or you had a recent asthma flare like an ER visit or steroid course)
- You get your asthma care at a partner community health clinic (FQHC)
- You complete questionnaires and show uncontrolled asthma symptoms and certain treatment beliefs
- You speak English, and you don’t have a serious mental health problem that would stop you from completing study tasks
