Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older.
- You had an acute stroke with a blocked brain artery due to a high-grade narrowing, and other treatments are not suitable or have failed.
- Imaging before the procedure shows a small-to-moderate stroke area (CT ASPECTS 6–10, and the DWI lesion is under 70 ml).
- Your symptoms started less than 24 hours before the stent procedure.
- You already tried mechanical clot removal at least once (using a stent retriever and/or aspiration) and it still did not reopen the artery.
- Before the stroke, you were independent or near independent (mRS 0–2).
