Who can take part

  • You are an adult age 18 to 75.
  • You have idiopathic craniofacial dystonia for more than 1 year, affecting at least the eye and/or jaw/mouth area (neck involvement can be present too).
  • You have tried pills or botulinum toxin injections, but they did not provide satisfactory relief.
  • You have normal thinking/memory for your age (MMSE score 24 or higher).
  • You can have brain scans (CT/MRI), and you can safely have surgery with general anesthesia.
  • You are not pregnant or breastfeeding, and you are not currently taking another investigational study drug or device.
