EMDR therapy for young children with stress and anxiety

This study tests whether EMDR therapy (a structured way to help process distressing experiences) helps children ages 3 to 6 who have symptoms related to trauma, stress, or anxiety. Who can take part

  • Your child is 3 to 6 years old
  • Your child has a current diagnosis linked to trauma, stress, or anxiety
  • Your child has typical (age-expected) language
  • Your child is not taking any psychotropic (mind/behavior) medicines
  • Neither your child nor the main caregiver has current suicidal thoughts or self-harm behaviors
  • The main caregiver does not have a substance use disorder
