Who can take part

  • You are the parent of a child being treated at Emma Children's Hospital in Amsterdam.
  • You have post-traumatic stress symptoms (like nightmares, flashbacks, or feeling on edge) that are at least moderate or higher.
  • You are motivated to try EMDR (a brief therapy using eye movements).
  • You can read and understand Dutch well enough to fill out questionnaires.
  • You are not currently in another trauma-focused therapy or have a severe mental health condition that needs immediate care.
