Who can take part

  • Be 18 years or older.
  • Have active systemic lupus erythematosus (lupus) based on a disease activity score (SLEDAI) of 1 or higher.
  • Be able and willing to sign a written informed consent form.
  • Do not have a current or recent infection (chronic or acute).
  • Do not have any other autoimmune condition that is active right now.
  • Do not have active cancer right now.
