Understanding Lupus: Research Study at NIH

  • You have been diagnosed with lupus (SLE) or are suspected to have lupus based on standard medical criteria
  • You are able to understand the study and give permission to participate (or a parent can consent if you are a minor)
  • You are at least 3 years old with no upper age limit
  • You do not have HIV, active cancer, or other serious medical conditions that would make it unsafe or difficult to study you
  • You are willing and able to come back for follow-up visits and provide blood or tissue samples as requested
