Who can take part
- You are 18 years or older
- You are scheduled for a planned heart operation such as bypass (CABG), aortic valve replacement (AVR), or ascending aorta replacement
- You have a known history of atrial fibrillation that comes and goes (paroxysmal) or lasts longer (persistent)
- You can sign a consent form to join the study
- Your main rhythm problem is not atrial flutter
