Who can take part
- Be between 1 and 18 years old when you sign consent/assent
- Have chronic kidney disease and protein in the urine, and meet kidney filter levels (eGFR ≥30)
- Be taking an ACE inhibitor or ARB at the highest dose you can tolerate for at least 30 days
- Have potassium levels that are not too high (limits depend on age)
- Have already been in the earlier finerenone Phase 3 study (FIONA) and were not permanently stopped
- Not be planning kidney transplant during the study and not have certain blood-pressure or medical exclusions
