Who can take part
- Your baby is a newborn (neonate) and is in hospital or outpatient care
- Pregnancy was over 30 weeks, and birthweight was over 1,250 grams
- Your baby was developing at the expected size for their pregnancy age
- Your baby did not have oxygen deprivation around birth (perinatal asphyxia)
- There is no skin problem on the left chest area where the ultrasound probe would go
- You agree in writing (informed consent) for your baby to have a neonatal echocardiogram
