Who can take part

  • Your pregnancy is a single baby (not twins or more).
  • You are between 19 weeks 6 days and 36 weeks 6 days pregnant (exact window depends on group).
  • If you are in the heart-disease group: your baby has an isolated congenital heart (heart) anomaly.
  • If you are in the control group: your baby has no congenital heart anomaly.
  • You do not have certain pregnancy conditions that can affect the baby’s heart function (like diabetes, preeclampsia, or cholestasis).
  • No other major birth defects or known genetic conditions were found.
