Who can take part
- Be a child or teen seen in the emergency department for an intellectual or developmental disability
- Be admitted for a mental health crisis such as aggression, severe agitation, self-injury, or running away
- Or, if you’re a parent, you must be able and willing to join for DNA testing to compare results
- Have NOT had whole genome or exome DNA sequencing before
- The research team must be able to talk with you and get consent
