Who can take part
- You are between 18 and 45 years old.
- You are scheduled for laparoscopic ovarian cystectomy (keyhole surgery to remove the cyst).
- You have an endometrioma on pre-surgery ultrasound, and it is confirmed as endometrioma on pathology (tissue/histology report).
- You have not used long-acting hormonal therapy in the past 3 months.
- Your surgery plan is the correct procedure (not just draining the cyst), and your case does not need major additional operations like bowel resection or hysterectomy.
- You can safely take combined oral contraceptive pills (or there is no reason you must avoid them), and you are not planning pregnancy in the next year.
