Who can take part

  • Be age 18 or older
  • Have been diagnosed with, or are being checked for, liver, bile duct, ampulla, or pancreatic cancer
  • Have a biopsy planned using a needle guided by imaging (from the skin or through a vein in the neck)
  • Be able to sign an informed consent form
  • Be able to lie still and hold your breath during the scan and needle passes
  • Have safe blood-clotting ability for biopsy (enough platelets and acceptable INR)
