Who can take part

  • You are active duty military and between ages 18 and 45
  • You are getting smallpox vaccine for the first time (not previously vaccinated)
  • A routine immunization screening already says you are eligible for this vaccine
  • You do not have a known reason you cannot receive JYNNEOS™ (per the official vaccine instructions)
  • You can attend required follow-up visits (no deployment/PCS/TDY planned for 65 days after the first visit)
  • You can understand and sign informed consent (and you are not currently moderately or severely ill)
