Who can take part

  • Your baby was born after 35 weeks of pregnancy
  • Your baby weighs at least 1,800 grams at birth
  • Your baby is between 1 and 14 days old
  • A blood test for bilirubin (a jaundice-related blood measure) is needed as part of usual care
  • Your baby has not had light therapy (phototherapy) in the last 24 hours
