Who can take part
- You are age 18 or older
- You are newly starting a thiazide or similar “water pill”
- You can sign the study consent form and follow study steps
- You have NOT taken a thiazide or similar “water pill” in the last month
- Your baseline blood test does not show low sodium (sodium ≥ 135 mmol/L)
- You do not have a serious infection/inflammation or an active symptomatic urine infection
