This trial tests whether a virtual reality self-rehabilitation program can help people recover movement and reduce unwanted muscle contractions after recent facial paralysis. You would practice facial exercises using VR technology at home to retrain your facial muscles.

Who can take part
- Facial paralysis that started within the last 12 months
- Moderate to severe facial weakness (House & Brackmann grade 3 or higher)
- Age 18 or older
- Able to see well enough to use the virtual reality program (vision correctable to at least 4/10)
- No previous facial paralysis surgery
- Not currently receiving botulinum toxin (Botox) injections for facial paralysis
- Able to understand and follow the self-guided rehabilitation exercises
