Who can take part
- You are age 50 to 80 (or, if related to lung cancer, meet the family age limits).
- You either: smoked at least 20 pack-years and quit more than 6 months ago but within the last 15 years.
- Or you have a first-degree relative with lung cancer (parent, sibling, or child) and you meet the age limits for the family case.
- Or you have a high-risk exposure, such as long-term air-pollution job exposure, or long-term high-heat cooking exposure, or a past fully treated lung tuberculosis history.
- You do not have a prior lung cancer diagnosis.
- You must not have had a chest CT scan within the past 18 months, and you must be able to tolerate the scan procedure (and any chest procedures if needed).
